About The Oak Room @ Danesfield House
Talk about an out-of-town luxury dining experience! Set high in the beautiful Chiltern Hills, Danesfield House Hotel and Spa is an Anouska Hempel creation overlooking the Thames between the quintessentially English towns of Marlow and Henley-on-Thames. The more intimate of the two magnificent main dining rooms, The Oak Room is a cream and white-coloured haven of classical refinement serving contemporary cuisine, crafted by Michelin-starred chef Adam Simmonds, using the very best organic produce. Worth-the-effort-in-getting-here dishes such as poached fillet of Brill with wild garlic panna cotta are served on fine English tableware with hand-pierced and hand-fluted edges, set on heavy silver under-plates. Excellent service, and a truly gastronomic experience.
Credit card details are required for parties of 4 or more. There is a cancellation fee of £50.00 per person.

Oak Room Danesfield House. Impressive over the top building, beautifully appointed inside. Friendly but unobtrusive service - we got the full treatment although on a special deal. Good wine list but overpriced.

This was the 2nd time we have visted the Oak Room at Danesfield house and were looking forward to lunch .Unfortunately it was a cold day and the hotel was not very warm.The restaurant had only 2 tables occuped and it too was cold. The food was good but a little ostentacious the chocolate ice cream on the Brill was too strong in flavour for me .My husband enjoyed the pheasent and the starters were good as was the dessert but the additional 12.5% on the already expensive meal was not warrentedReview
Danesfield Court is a wonderfully imposing venue for an occasion. The atmosphere and service were impeccable. I would have rated the food higher had it been hotter!Visitors
