About The North Bridge Brasserie
The North Bridge Brasserie restaurant in Edinburgh is a fabulous restaurant retrofitted into the former reception area of The Scotsman newspaper. Now part of the luxurious Scotsman Hotel, the North Bridge Brasserie enjoys soaring ceilings, marble-clad pillars, mad cornicing, a stainless steel elliptical bar lit from below in the centre of the room and glass stairs leading to the mezzanine. As for the food, as much produce as possible is native to Scotland, then it is prepared simply and carefully into your favourite dishes, including a Roast of the Day, superb pies and very lunchable light dishes. Swift, friendly service and fine, fine cocktails.
Opening hours:
Mon - Sun: 12pm - 2pm & 6pm - 10pm
Leading Hotels of the World described The Scotsman as ‘one of the most stylish hotels in the city’ before it even opened its doors.

although I had given warning of my "onion family" allergy, my potatoes were covered in chives. The white wine by the glass I chose (one of four) was not available. Disabled toilet is down on next floor. Disappointing North Bridge Brasserie!Review
North Bridge Brasserie - this was our third visit and the food was the poorest quality. The set menu had been much better value on previous occasions. Getting a bit tired of serving the simple dishes which, when prepared with care are the best value in town.Review
The North Bridge Brasserie, Edinburgh provided a pleasant lunch. Service was friendly, food was tasty and general ambience of the place was good. Just a tad pricey for what is was.Visitors
