Nestled in Southwark Street, The Loft offers a uniquely contemporary dining experience in stylish surroundings. The restaurant presents a constantly evolving menu with a carefully matched wine list. Alberico Orsi, Executive Chef thrives on the challenge of tailoring his dishes to suit setting, seasons and occasions with a monthly changing collection of dishes. Meanwhile The Loft Bar and glass roofed atrium presents an idyllic setting in which to enjoy the extensive wine menu.

I was mortified when i arrived at The Loft with my clients to find it housed within a travelodge-esque hotel, which Toptable fail to mention in their write up. The chairs and tables were grubby and surroundings cheap and tacky. The waitress was pleasant but the manager needs a lesson in carrying plates to tables so as not to stick his thumb in the food. Wholly unimpressed.

The Loft offered a very nice 3 course menu for £15 but it felt very much like the hotel restaurant that it is. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was excellent value. However, we were two of the four people in the restaurant at 8.00 pm on a Saturday night..Review
