About The Living Room - York
The Living Room York is situated on the first floor within the new riverside Merchant Exchange development on Bridge Street adjacent to the Ouse Bridge. With fabulous views across the river Ouse, it has quickly become a favourite neighbourhood hangout in the city centre. Dine on a range of affordable hit dishes such as the crispy duck wrap, sea bass on a bed of ratatouille and wild rocket, and Thai salmon fishcakes. Drinks go down just as well as the food, probably because there’s always something new to try from the monthly beer, wine and cocktails list.
Please be aware that WE ARE UNABLE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS ON RACE DAYS also a credit card is required for bookings of 6 or more, and a £5 non-refundable per diner deposit will be charged at that time.

Had a pleasant evening out at The Living Room in York. The bar and restaurant area were both busy on a Friday night giving a very good atmosphere. As usual the food was very good, my only criticism would be that the service was too quick as were just finishing our starters when the main course arrived.

The food in the Living Room is good, the menu is varied and the portion sizes are good. The service can be a bit hit and miss in terms of time taken, but the staff are always friendly. We go fairly regularly at lunchtimes as our office is close by so the timing issue is probably more pronounced for us than it would be for an evening meal. Overall, Living Room is reliable and enjoyable. Drinks can be expensive though, cocktails in small amounts are £6.50 each.Review
