About The Living Room - Oxford
Part of a redevelopment of the castle, the Oxford branch of this respected chain stands in the shadow of an ancient prison. But you won’t give that a second thought once inside the airy, sophisticated bar designed with loads of polished dark wood, plants lining the walls, low-hanging lamps, curvaceous chocolate-brown leather seating. And a white baby grand piano played most evenings by talented local musicians. The service and food are consistently good. A diverse menu travels from Britain through Europe to Asia and back to Blighty again in the shape of the Home Comforts section listing all-time classics such as fish and chips, and steak and ale pie. Splendid. Great place for leisurely New York-style brunches on a Sunday.

Very expensive. Never seen vegetables as a side order at £2.75 each. Lots of fat on my Lamb. Very poor indeed. Would not go back again.Review
