No expense has been spared on Edinburgh’s Living Room, one of a clutch of popular style bars lining George Street. The décor’s been described as "Manhattan loft with a colonial twist". That’s to stay there’s a lot of wood, substantial brown leather arm chairs, drapes, potted plants and sophisticated lighting. A slick entrance bar, complete with jazzy pianist performing on a white baby grand, leads to a cavernous dining space where the balance between comfort and style is reflected in the lengthy menu. A something-for-everyone mix, it ranges from snacks, salads and roasts (Sundays only) to comfort food classics and more ambitious pasta, grill and seafood dishes. Good international wine list with several sold by the glass. Nice cocktails too.Please note, on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights there is a 1.5 hour time limit on tables of less then 5 people and 2 hours on larger bookings.

Please be aware that a credit card is required for parties of of 6 or more. A deposit may be required. Deposits are kept by The Living Room upon cancellation.Tables can be held for 15 minutes for late arrivals. Arrivals later than 15 minutes from their booking time may loose their table.Please note, there is a 1.5 hour time limit on tables of less then 5 people and a 2 hour time limit on larger tables.
