About The Living Room - Chester
Atmospheric alcoves, nook and crannies mark this out as one of the more romantic Living Rooms and is often full of couples. Plenty of space to be away from them, though, if you’d rather. A big bar shares the ground floor with a regularly-played grand piano and a small raised dining area. A grand staircase leads to the main mezzanine restaurant. Up another floor lies a windowless wooden den of a members bar. Back downstairs, a big skylight floods the restaurant with light, while the buzz of the bar fills the air from below. While this isn’t fine dining, the eclectic menu is consistently good, particularly the steaks, and that ole favourite, bangers and mash. Nice wine list, with eight new bottles to choose from every month.

Asked for a good table as it was a friends birthday and even though we were the only ones who booked a table we were shown to a very bad table. Food was also very average.Review
The Living Room in Chester proved to be a lovely diing experience. The ambience was great (piano downstairs) and the service was very good.Review
