The Larder on Goosegate was an excellent choice for a relaxed yet fairly modernly stylish dinner. The tables looked minimally layed but this was quite refreshing as there was more focus on the food. The pork belly was amazing as apparently was the fish, had by others. It was responable value, however going between 6-7 would have offered inredile value, 3 courses for only £15! The only fault was that I had a to ask for bread, but the waiter was new! Would highly recommend just for the belly!

The Larder on Goosegate is a lovely restaurant. The food is delicious - quite fishy - several fish specials. A lot of the food is locally sourced and the service was excellent. Will definitely return soon.

We like unpretentious restaurants that serve good food of high quality without trying to do anything too weird withfood combinations. This restaurant did that and the steak and venison was absolutely delicious. Desserts were also scrummy. Ambience lovely and isceet waiters left the perfect gap between courses so you didn't feel rushed or let waiting either. If anything, we would have liked more choices on the menu, especially in the dessert list.

Firstly i should mention that the Larder is a favourite restaurant of mine, but i'd not been for around 6 months prior to this visit. As before the food was absolutely superb, and for the price i cannot rate this highly enough. The excellent slow roasted belly pork is the best food i've eaten out. Unfortunately on this visit, the waiting staff seemed to be new and inexperienced. They didn't seem to know the menu and we were left waiting between main and cheese course for over 40mins. Shame!

We enjoyed our meal at the Larder on Goosegate. We had the sunday lunch menu which was very good value for money. Service was a bit slow to start with but got better. Only complaint would be that the toilets were absolutely freezing.
Eg. italian, Ritz, Benitos, meatballs...
