The Grill Room at the Dorchester didn't live up to expectations which was disappointing. The service was incredibly slow even though the restaurant wasn't full. The food was good and the staff were friendly but I wouldn't rush back.Review
We had the 5 course tasting menu at The Grill (The Dorchester) with a glass of champagne. Wide vairety of beautifully presented food, portions start off small however, they get bigger by the 'main' course and we had more than enough food and were stuffed full by the end of the meal! Watch out for added extras thrown in (veal tongue and sweetbread, actually rather good!) A nice touch at the end 2 waiters sang happy bday and had it written in chocolate with coffee sweets and a candleReview
Last night I spent a wonderful evening at The Grill in the Dorchester hotel. The food looked exciting and tasted even better, the service was kind you didn't notice but your needs were met without asking. Overall my family and I had a brilliant and relaxing evening in an impressive if not slightly strange surroundings. The tartan is definitely an interesting choice! Food was very good value for money but drinks were as you'd expect, not cheap.Visitors
