We dined in the Secret Garden section of The Gate. Me & my friend ordered from the Asian tapas menu and our husbands ordered from the bar menu. We can honestly say that the tapas was one of the best meals I have ever tasted! Will definately be back! As for the price - 6 tapas dishes, 2 main courses, 2 puddings, bottle of wine, 4 beers and 2 coffees came to under £80 which sounds good to me! Definately give this place a go - and dont be scared to try the tapas!!

The Gate is an amazing place to eat! The food is fantastic and cooked to your liking i.e. with/without sauce, less chillies, etc etc! The staff are very professional and friendly. I can't wait to go back.

It is hard to fault anything about The Gate, we had a warm welcome when we arrived, a choice of different areas to sit in from formal dining are to sofas, good value and advice on the wine, plus and excellent choice on the menu. (even the loos smelt pleasant)

The Gate is a contemporary venue located in Trongate part of Glasgow. Open and friendly with staff strongly (calm down!) enthusuastic, like the food the staff were from a fusion of continental backgrounds. Asian -Fusion tapas food may not be your more obvious choice but glad we chose it. As usual with tapas bars you are guaranteed choices between meat, chicken, fish and vegetarian style tapas. I chose lamb kebabs, sweet potato bravas and lemongrass rice. Yummy, we're glad we opened 'The Gate'

The Gate is well worth a visit. The tapas menu has great variety on it and the wine list is good and reasonably priced. Sticky toffee pudding was so good I will definitely be back soon!

My Girlfriend and I ate in the Secret Garden part of The Gate and it was fantastic. There was a really wide choice of Asia Tapas, enough for everyone including vegatarians without the menu being too busy and hard to choose from. The food was exquisite, the battered king prawns were my favourite and are a must. They had a really good selection of wines and beers. I also had a look at The Gate menu as well and that is more laid back with traditional cusine and a great reason to go back. Just go!
