About The Dining Room at The Society
An unusual but welcoming setting, The Dining Room on Edinburgh’s Queen Street is located in an elegant Georgian building the heart of the city. It’s home to the Scotch Malt Whisky Society and the menu is equally patriotic, with the finest Scottish beef and seafood on offer. Chef James Freeman carefully sources seasonal produce to create a modern Scottish a la carte with a contemporary French twist, as well as a relaxed bistro menu and classic roast served on Sundays. This is an ideal opportunity for non-members to enjoy five-star food, charming service, and – if the mood takes you – one of their one-of-a-kind whiskys.
A credit card & deposit is required to secure a reservation for groups of 6 persons or more. The deposit is £10 per person and will be charged to the card provided. Late cancellations (within 24 hours of the reservation) and no-shows will forfeit this deposit.

Food was delicious and service very friendly. However, the room is very small, and the tables are very close together given the prices.Review
This restaurant excceded all expectations. Two of our group had never tasted anything so wonderful as the goats cheese starter. Took away some of the pain of the Welsh performance at MurrayfieldReview
