About The Clerkenwell Dining Room
The Clerkenwell is definitely one for the little black book while in the City. The menu is modern European with occasional touches of 'Michelin'- style, mixed with gutsy flavours and combinations, recently awarded two AA Rosettes. The two owners are keen to maintain informality and affordability. The relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere means The Clerkenwell is suitable for both business meetings and casual meals. Before settling down to a delicious dinner, have a cocktail or two in the intimate bar lounge area. It's open from 12pm everyday for lunch, and then opens again at 6pm every evening until late. This bar is open to diners and non-diners and offers a full cocktail list, beers, wines and champagne.
Opening hours:
Mon - Fr: 12pm - 2:30pm & 6pm - 11pmSat 7pm - 11pm

What a great venue for a pre Christmas birthday dinner! A matinee first and The Clerkenwell Dining Rooms to follow. There was a good choice of wine to accompany the imaginative food - something for everyone's taste and beautifully prepared. The service was efficient without being pushy and the staff were very friendly and informative. And what an interesting part of London!Review
Straightforward menu, nicely executed and tasty food, good service (almost too quick!). Would definately come again. Only comment would be that, in common with so many restaurants, the not cheap cheese plate was very cold - just out of the fridge - and therefore tasteless.Review
The variety, quality and presentation of the food at The Clerkenwell Dining Room was excellent. The service although efficient was cold, almost stuck-up, we never saw a smile from any of our waiters. Maybe it was because it's one of the busiest times in the year leading up to xmas.Visitors
