About The Case Restaurant with Rooms
The Kappes family took over The Case in 1986 when it was just a quiet Suffolk country establishment. Ten years on, they’ve completely refurbished this Sudbury gem and transformed into a lovely modern restaurant with rooms. The beamed dining room has a wonderfully airy feel to it, and the high-backed leather chairs are anything if not comfortable. The food’s European and made with top notch local produce. The daily specials and fresh homemade bread are well worth ordering. Good value fixed price Sunday lunch. The Case is a nice stop if you’re exploring Gainsborough Country and the Deben Vale.

Second review of the Case - just as good, particularly with the 'rooms' thrown in with the Top Table offer. Long may it continue!Review
The Case is a little gem and remains one of our favourite restaurants. This time we got to sample the rooms as well, which with the Top Table offer simply could not have been better value. One of its best selling features is just how friendly it is - nothing is too much trouble, yet not over the top either. It deserves success. The food is v. good with local produce well presented, and it has a respectable wine list at good value as well. We shall definitely return, with or without Top TableReview
The Case has a lovely setting. We visited on a sunny Friday lunchtime and ate in the conservatory. The service was efficient and friendly. The food wasn't quite as expected from the descriptions and although very generous portions was overwhelmed by the sauces. Worthwhile if you're passing but for the money we wouldn't make a special trip.Visitors
