Bridge Restaurant (within the Vermont Hotel). Good food, very well presented in a timely manner. A little bit too quiet but then it was a Monday. Reserved table exactly as per request.

the bridge restaurant is actually the hotel restaurant of the vermont hotel. lovely situation, but the restaurant's a bit huge and feels empty when there's only a dozen people dining. the service and food were excellent though, and we did enjoy seeing the tyne bridges from our window seat. we will definitely return. on a sidenote, the multinational waiters were very entertaining. go and you'll notice why.

The location is great although we had dinner very eary so the restuarant was empty. The foood was good but not as good as some of the other reviews would have you believe. The service was attentative without being over bearing. On the whole good restuarant just hoped the food truely lived up to expectations

The whole experience was perfect, I couldnt rate it any higher from the doorstaff who directed us from the entrance of Marthas, to the Bar staff and restaurant staff and finally to Tereasa the GM who was very attentitive to all the guests. Will certainly go back as the menu changes every 2 months and have also found out that they have another restaurant on the 3rd floor. The view is spectacular and everyone was extremely satisfied with food.

Dined at The Bridge Restaurant with a friend after the Great North run. Were a little surprised to be presented with the 'couples' menu but the food was excellent and extremely good value for money. Service was friendly and attentive. All in all it provided a lovely end to an outstanding weekend. Would happily recommend to all.

The Bridge is really just a hotel restaurant with a very lovely view...over priced, but you know that going into a hotel restaurant. Portions are respectable, service fantastic (well, it was empty!)

We had a very pleasant experience at The Bridge restaurant in Newcastle. It's clear that they are trying to develop their restauarant and it's working. The food was fantastic and great value for the £23 per head. Table setting was excellent but please change the roof tiles !! beautiful decor until you look upwards. Service was magnificent and the young ladies serving had a few funny quips after some little mishaps, all added to a pleasant evening at The Bridge. Gold star !

I was treating my staff to a meal out and we must have got a bad night, as the service was so slow, despite the restaurant only being a third full, and they got my starter wrong, after I waited 50 mins for it and then 3 of us had lamshank which was over cooked. Real shame.
Eg. italian, Ritz, Benitos, meatballs...
