About The Bountiful Cow
The Bountiful Cow is one generous beast: a public house devoted to beef. Executive chef Roxy Beaujolais (of Seven Stars and TV fame) serves large steaks and larger burgers at pubby prices, plus cask-conditioned ales and good wines. The young, relaxed ambience features bright décor, cowboy film posters and moo-cow ads. Dine in banquettes, or on Lloyd Loom chairs, at oak tables—either at bar level, or downstairs, with the kitchen entertainingly visible through glass. The menus feature aged steaks and burgers (free toppings if you wish), and other dishes; even some vegetarian ones. Did we mention that portions are large? On Sundays, roasts of beef and suckling pig also appear. A truly hip jazz trio plays Saturdays and Sundays.
Please note that the restaurant requests phone advice two hours or more for any cancellations. Without this, they will not accept a reservation from the customer again.Last orders for food is 2:30pm at lunch and 9:30pm for dinner every day.

The food at the Bountiful cow, is average with large portions. The ambience and the place was quite disapointing. It was described as a converted pub but in fact it still is. There is a resturant area downstairs but it seems they only open this if they are busy. Otherwise you have to sit upstairs within the pub area which can get very noisy and you have to shout to have a discussion, not like being in a resturant. If you go make sure you get a table downstairs

We went to the Bountiful Cow last night as a free 2 course meal with Top Table reward points. Very good food and obviously good value as we were only paying for wine - I think that if you are paying for the food it would be a bit on the expensive side - their (admittedly very good) burger is £11 or so. It is not made clear on the Reward menu on the Top Table website that the 2 free courses must be a starter and a main course.Review
Nice house red for £12, good steak and tasty sausages. Good with TT rewards obviously!Visitors
