No, it’s not a typo, the Croydon suburb of Shirley really does have an armoured saviour riding in on a white horse carrying, not a spear or sword but a naan bread. Set among the swathes of unintimidating 1930s semis and well kept front gardens, Tandoori Knights is a taste of India in the South East. Classically decorated in comfortable style and with welcoming service from polite and knowledgeable staff, this is a place at which to relax, enjoy your food – if you can even begin to choose from that extensive menu of Northern Indian specialities - and make the most of being with friends and family.

This, my local is a truly fantastic restaurant with friendly and professional staff and nice modern decor. The food is definitely a cut above any other Indians in the area. Last night as always it was very tasty. Freshly cooked with top quality ingredients it can be adjusted to suit your tastes and the strength alterterd if you like it mild (like me). Try the Prawn Puri to start it is divine and their peshwari Naan is also not to be missed. Not up for going out. They deliver too :-)

Tandoori Knights really exceeded my expectations last night - I cannot think of a single criticism!! The food was delicious and excellent value for money. The menu was extensive and I would say that there is a choice to suit every need. The service was great too - very attentive and it's nice when you get an honest opinion about their food!! Having been an Indian Food lover for many years, the food at Tandoori Knights was excellant. It was different to other Indian restaurants, the food was freshly cooked, had fresh spices and was easily digested. Starters I had Aloo Puri, which was delicious,lovely light bread, topped with spicey potatoes, main course was Chicken Dhansak, the best I had ever tasted. The service was lovely and friendly, will certainly return there. There was nothing I could fault,Visitors
