About Symposium
A restaurant named after one of Ancient Greece’s own greatest thinkers’ most renowned works of philosophy, Symposium provides not so much food for thought as it does display thought for food. Situated on the up and coming Stroud Green Road area of Finsbury Park, Symposium is a Greek Taverna restaurant which offers a wide array of traditional Greek favourites, with its fresh fish and Kleftico kebabs being of particular note. All the restaurant’s meals are concocted from the finest, freshest produce available, and served in a relaxed atmosphere provided by Symposium’s welcoming décor of brick walls, warm terracotta hues and large mirrors in abundance. Friday and Saturday evenings see live music from 9pm.

At Symposium, we ordered an excellent-value set-meal, with a range of 8 small dishes such as houmous and tzatziki with lots of warm pitta bread, for just 6.95. Some of us had the larger meal deal for 14.95 which was extremely good value and allowed you to taste a range of different Greek dishes. The wine was good and waiting staff were friendly. I would come here again.Review
We ate early so the restaurant wasn't too full and we had excellent service. We ordered a range of starters to share between three and the first few dishes came out almost immediately. Would definitely recommend the restaurant if you are in the area.Review
Symposium was good for a casual catch up with friends. We were there on a Wednesday night and it was really quiet but the food was good and was good to have some quiet time to catchupVisitors
