About St Petersburg Restaurant - Liverpool
Liverpool may have several Russian restaurants, but they remain rare up North. Making up in character what it lacks in local siblings, so to speak, is Liverpool’s St Petersburg. It’s a plush space of bold red walls, burgundy upholstered seating and matching table linen, as well as a handsome old samovar. The traditional Russian hospitality alone attracts diners from all over the world. The menu is vast. From a choice of almost 150 dishes (including Russian red caviar and blinis), bestsellers are gribnayia, a delicious starter of mushrooms sauteed with cream and onion; beef stroganoff; and Peter the Great – a mighty fillet steak fried in mustard, topped with cheese and gherkins served with a cream sauce. Awesome choice of vodkas and Russian beers.
Opening hours:

The Petersburg's decor was dated, unimaginatively red and depressingly gloomy, and the room was freezing. Besides the delicious starters (chicken pancakes and chicken noodle soup) the food was too rich and not very appetising. The service was also slow (I think the waiters forgot about us). However, the flavoured vodka was excellent, which saved most of the evening. Thankfully, we dined with a 2 for 1 offer.Review
Food was so-so, service very charming and friendly but not overly efficient, but to be fair we did go on New Years Eve. The special menu was not brilliant value, but the entertainment more than made up for it, as we had a great night. Would be great fun with friends, just don't expect goumet.Review
St Peterberg is a fantastic place, the food is amazing and well presented, really big portions so make sure you when your hungry. The staff are really good and will make recommendations, all in all really good.Visitors
