Spot Lx is one of three glam restaurants in Lisbon’s new ultra-modern Casino Lisboa in the futuristic Parque das Nações next to the Tagus estuary. White lamps, white tables, white chairs, bright light…the effect is powerfully minimalist and shifted up yet another gear by the super-high ceilings and panoramic views. Someone really put thought into Spot Lx. Such a sleek urban space merits an exciting global menu and gets in Fausto Airoldi’s artistic mix of Japanese, Italian and Portuguese tapas. Design pieces in themselves, dishes are chosen delicatessen-style from dedicated sections, including a dessert bar and a raw bar. Vegetarians have a special section of the menu, too. All the while, there’s live music to entertain and enliven the addictively electric atmosphere, making Spot Lx a really rather hip dining destination.
