About Souk Medina
Inspired by the popularity of his award-winning Souk Bazaar on Litchfield Street, Samir Mahdi has opened a substantially larger bar and restaurant nearby. Happily, at Souk Medina, the same guarantees apply – affordable North African food, fun atmosphere and a relaxed crowd. In the subtly-lit cave-like downstairs restaurant diners sit on colourful low seating and luxurious floor cushions. The exotic menu features favourites like - kefta chermoula (meat balls) with herbs and spices; chicken tagine with chickpeas, cumin & harissa and the delicious chocolate and rosewater crepes. If you just want a sit down and a natter in comfort, there’s also an atmospheric tranquil tea room and candle-lit cocktail lounge.
A credit card will be required for all bookings of 8 people or more.

Souk Medina was a great place for a good night out, its very noisy so don't expect a quiet meal. priced very decently, definately worth a visit.Review
Very nice ambience. service was poor we had to wait almost 40mins for our table, after reminding them about 4 times. Quality of food was very average..Review
Maybe it was the time of year - between xmas and new year but the service was awful....the restuarant was not very busy but they still gave the impression they didn't want the custom with the main course being served about 15 minutes after the starters. Would not have been quite so bad if the food had been above average. Would not go back or recommend to anyone elseVisitors
