Da Vinci once said that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication – a spot on observation when it comes to Simplicity restaurant in London’s Rotherhithe. Small, bright and friendly, this honestly-priced local favourite offers uncomplicated British and European classics, freshly sourced every day. Dive into specials like a grilled pork chop studded with garlic and rosemary, mashed potatoes, buttered cabbage and gravy or homemade salmon fishcakes served with mixed salad and hollandaise sauce. Daily dessert specials are also worth saving room for. Wine lovers are particularly well-cared for at Simplicity, as the restaurant comes complete with a wine shop to take home your favourites from the meal.

Well cooked at reasonable prices in an area that is sadly lacking in good places to eat. I would recommend this restaurant and will certainly be returning

Been here on a number of occasions and the food is, in my opinion, significantly better than any of its competitors in more central locations. It is up and coming and offers good value for the quality and standard of food you get. Service is friendly and the chef there (who I believe also owns the restaurant) always takes the time to speak to guests. It is a shame there arent more restaurants like this!Review
Simplicity's objectives caught my eye - simple, unpretentious food at unpretentious prices. The restaurant's interior seemed to confirm my good feeling about the place - comfy, relaxed and not too crowded. Unfortunately, there was only one overworked waiter serving the entire restaurant and the kitchen seemed to be even more understaffed. The waiter did his best to mollify us but our main course arrived almost 45 minutes after our starter. The only niggle in an otherwise enjoyable venue.Visitors
