About Shish - Old Street
Obviously on to a winner in Willesden Green, Shish opened a second branch in Hoxton, just as buzzy as the aforementioned first. A modern kebaberie at heart, this small but perfectly formed chain specialises in healthy, good value skewered dishes originating in Silk Road countries. In the white, bright open plan brasserie-style restaurant a sleek dining bar allows you to see exactly how freshly your meal is being prepared. Down the spiral staircase is a beautiful Oriental-themed bar, populated with funky stools and comfy booths. Laidback global beats combine with low lighting to create a happy, comfortable vibe, much appreciated by the fashionable 20 and 30-something Shoreditch crowd.Please note this restaurant only takes bookings of 8 and above, all smaller tables will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

I dined at Shish with a large group of friends before christmas. The staff were friendly and attentive but atmosphere was lacking as restaurant was not full. Decor is nice and food was pleasant but not the best Shish style food I have eaten. The price was very reasonable.

Shish was a good place for a large group of people. The food was good and it wasn't too expensive. The options were interesting and there was something for everyone. There was nothing outstanding though. Less choice for dessert, most people were very full by this point! My dessert was tiny, but very filling. Staff a little over eager to clear drinks away, but quickly replaced my friends drink! One thing I would say it was quite noisy and hard to hear everyone. Downstairs bar was great.Review
Shish is a great place to go for unfussy, fast food. Great food at a great price.Visitors
