About Shamiana Indian Restaurant
There’s nothing quite like discovering a great Indian in your neighbourhood, and residents of Palmer’s Green have certainly got the lock on that. Shamiana Indian Restaurant is a comfortable, locally-loved establishment, serving both old standards and new interpretations of classic regional Indian cookery. Enthusiastic and friendly staff are more than happy to make recommendations, but local favourites include king prawns poached in coconut and lime leaf sauce (nariyal jhinga) and sizzling rezala lamb served with a spicy lime, coriander and tomato sauce. A small selection of wines – all under £20 – makes it both easy on palate and pocket.

We went to Shamiana as it it was one of the few places on toptable near to where I live, it also had a 50% discount so I gave it a go. The ambience is a bit muted and dull, there were very few people there that didn't help. The food looked more interesting that a normal indian restaurant and my salmon kebab starter was great. The king prawn dish for main course was a disappointment, not many prawns and almost 12 pounds full price, I would not have been happy to have paid that. Could do better!Review

Dined at Shamiana with a friend on a wednesday evening recently and had a great time. We were the only diners for most of the evening which meant the service was superb!. Food was well presented and tasty and with 50% of with TT on a 3 course meal for both of us, was fabulous value at just over £22 including drinks!!! Would very much recommend this Palmers Green establishment and will be returning.Visitors
