About Shabab Restaurant
In the heart of Leeds city centre, Shabab is an upmarket Indian restaurant that prides itself on its authenticity. Cooking is as close as possible to the way it’s done in domestic Asian kitchens: spices are freshly ground in-house and there are no artificial colourings or ready-made pastes. Decked out like a Maharajah’s palace, Shabab keeps it relaxed with carpeted floors and comfortable furniture. The menu has all the classics, but don’t miss out on the inventive house specials. Start with Bara Jhinga Butterfly – large king prawns marinated in a lightly spicy mix with garlic, bursting with flavour. For mains, try the diced breast of spring chicken and okra cooked in a balti with fresh herbs and spices, along with a side dish of aubergines stuffed with coarsely ground pomegranate seeds cooked in a spicy tamarind sauce. Pickles have freshness and bite, and the paneer nan is addictive.

Good food well presented. Will returnReview
My friends and I enjoyed our meal at the Shabab. The service team was friendly and appropriately attentive, and the meal was very good value. The entrance to the venue did affect my first impressions, but I'm glad we gave it the benefit of the doubt.Visitors
