About Seymours

Pass beneath the awning of The Leonard Hotel’s Georgian front door, turn left and you’ll find yourself in Seymours - a thick-carpeted room full of paintings, upholstered armchairs, sofas and an open fireplace. The feel is decidedly English country house, and Seymours menu matches perfectly with a smattering of English favourites on offer, rounded out the small, but perfectly formed menu with a few old school European classics for good measure. Start with succulent king prawns pan fried with garlic and white wine sauce, or a refreshingly light pumpkin & ginger soup. For mains, we love the comforting retro offerings of Steak Diane, fish & chips and bangers & mash.

Seymours is part of The Leonard Hotel and we loved arriving to find working fireplaces keeping the lobby warm. The Restaurant is in the same style as the hotel with working fireplaces and artwork on the walls.Classical music helped to create a warm atmosphere. Dinner was fantastic and service was discreet but attentive. This is the sort of place that is perfect for a dinner in two or a group of friends without the loud music and crushing of plates associated with London restaurants...We'll return

Reminiscent of parts of Torquay in decor and service. Empty restaurant guaranteed neither good nor quick service, though food good when it eventually made an appearance. Enjoyable but surreal lunch

Seymours is a cosy little venue with a quiet feel to it. The standard of food and service is good, however what lets it down is the value for money. There was nothing wrong with the food but we felt we had parted with more money than the meal deserved, even with the toptable offer. The restaurant may see more business if it lowered its prices. once again, nothing wrong with the food!
