The exotic kitchen at Sampans cook with blends of ginger and garlic from China, a subtle combination of basil, chillies and coriander roots from Thailand, and a delicate fusion of coconut milk, lemon, grass and galanca from Malaysia. Based in Edinburgh's Holiday Inn Hotel, Sampans is nothing if not inviting to the curious explorer. Three separate tastes of the Orient are served in one delightful fusion. And if the crispy salted seaweed isn't your thing, fear not. There are soups a plenty to choose from, as well as a variety of noodle dishes. Sample the delights as you float off on a journey of cuisine discovery. Oriental heaven.
