About Sake No Hana
After the success of Hakkasan and Yauatcha, Alan Yau was asked to open a fine dining Japanese restaurant within stylish St. James as the location for his next project - Sake No Hana. Inspired by Japanese izakaya sake bars with their traditional low-seating; the interior is modern and minimalist with sleek wooden tables, glossy black surfaces and bamboo-effect walls. The menu is divided in the Japanese way, by methods of cooking rather than by course, so it is ideal for those who like to graze and share. Popular dishes include Miso Chilean seabass and Wagyu beef steak with wild mushrooms, wasabi and mirin sake sauce. A selection of sushi, sashimi and tempura is also available. A sommelier is on hand to guide diners through the drinks menu, which features some exquisite sakés and shochus (Japanese vodkas) and a wealth of wines from France.Guests dining at the Tatami mats will be required to remove their shoes.
Please be aware that all shoes will have to be removed when standing or sitting at the Tatami mat.
Opening hours:
Mon - Sat 12pm - 3pm & 6pm - 12amSun 6pm - 12am
Sake No Hana opened to immediate acclaim being awarded best new restaurant by the Which? Good food guide 2008.

Sake No Hana is just wow! If you want to impress someone go here, it's cool down to the details, the food is amazing and small pieces of art! Prices are ok, a good meal will cost a bit but well worth it!Review
The food at Sake No Hana was delicious but unfortunately did not blow my mind. Drinks were daylight robbery so my friend and I restricted ourselves to one cocktail each, why pay more when we can drink elsewhere for less. Staff are very attentive and made us feel most welcome, although their advice on the menu is not quite up to scratch. The toptable offer of 50% off definitely ensured we left with a smile on our face.Review
A very cool venue with a simple, modern wood theme throughout. A little odd as you have to go up escalators to get to the first floor and it feels as if you are going to a department store. Attentative staff. Food is tasty - esp the soft shell crab salad, new for autumn and also the pork ribs were lovely. Good value with the toptable deal, not sure I would go without the 50% off as is quite expensive. Worth a visit with the discount.Visitors
