About Ruth's Chris Steak House
Midtown Manhattan was made for this restaurant, with its upscale decoration in mahogany, deeply saturated colours, and modern art, and its manly menu served with flair and panache. Ruth's Chris Steakhouse is a great place for a fabulous hunk of beef cooked to perfection, but also a place with real buzz, where you can power lunch or celebrate or just have a great meal out with friends. Starters are a good time to try the excellent seafood dishes, like seared ahi tuna with ginger, mustard, and beer sauce. The mains belong to one of the seven perfectly-aged cuts of steak delivered sizzling to your table, while dessert might include a real American classic, like warm apple crumb tart. We know it's a national chain, but the wines are as serious as if this were a one-and-only.Booking Tip: Please try to make your New York booking at least 48 hours in advance.

We ate at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse on Xmas Eve. Despite having booked we were told there would be a wait of 10 mins which turned out to be 20 mins. Poor attitude from front of house. The waiter advised us to be quick with our order as the kitchen was closing at 9pm - it was now 8:45. It seemed odd as there were still people waiting to be seated. Unsurprisingly orders were still taken after 9pm. Food was OK though very salty and expensive considering the exchange rate. A big let down for Xmas Eve.

Ruth's Chris Steak House - this is an amazing restaurant. It has a lovely atmosphere and stops you feeling like a tourist. I had the filet and it was beautifully tender. Don't order too many sides as the food is deceptively filling. It is quite expensive but worth it.Review
