The award-winning Martin Wishart restaurant in Edinburgh 's port of Leith is a stunning fine dining experience not to be missed. The relaxed cream and mocha colour scheme, fresh flowers and flawless service provide the perfect backdrop for the exquisite food. Wishart – who has worked with super-chefs such as Marc Meneau, Albert Roux and Marco Pierre White during his high-profile career – has a dedicated team of eight chefs working overtime to create the restaurant's Michelin-starred modern Scottish menu. We love the lobster and smoked haddock souffle with soubise spinach; the partridge and foie gras with red cabbage and apple sauce; and the roast loin and civet of hare with apple, beetroot, salsafi and black pudding sauce.
A credit card is required to reserve a table, if there is availability - this is simply to secure your booking, absolutely no money will be charged to the card except in the case of late cancellations. A fee of £50 per person will be charged for a cancellation within 48 hours or a no showPlease note that this restaurant is normally fully booked for Saturday evenings 3 months in advance. Weekdays are quieter.

What a lovely and sublime little place this is, the food was so fresh and the service so friendly and unbelievable value for money considering that we had the menu gourmand and 2 bottles of excellent wine at only £110 a head including service. Its the only Michelin starred restaurant Ive been to with reasonably priced wines. They were incredibly accomodating with changes to the menu to suit individuals. Our only complaint was the 10 quid supplement for having Kobe beef which was tiny and tough.Review
Martin Wishart's restaurant at Leith has a reputation of serving top quality food and excellent food - it certainly didn't disappoint. The food was amazing and service was outstanding - would certainly recommend.Visitors
