About Raval Luxury Restaurant & Bar
Nestled in the heart of Newcastle's prestigious Gatehead Quays, Raval is a stylish and sophisticated restaurant serving classic Indian cuisine with a contemporary twist. The restaurant is divided into three discreet dining areas – a luxurious main dining room, a secluded private dining space, and a chilled, contemporary lounge/bar. Raval's hand-picked team of Indian chefs combine the freshest, authentic ingredients and local produce with traditional cooking techniques to create a unique layering of flavours, and balanced, low-fat recipes. Favourite dishes include the prawn masala – tiger prawns cooked with onion, tomato, ginger, garlic and lime juice; the lamb pasanda – lamb cooked in a rich cashew nut and cardamom saffron sauce; and the sea bass cooked in coconut cream, tomatoes and spices.

The Raval is highly unusual for an Asian Restaurant. The menu is focused and the flavours are unique. Staff very very attentive and with a very entusiastic manager/ owner. A very exciting dining experience.

Nice restaurant, with beautifully presented and tasty food. A lovely twist on Indian cuisine that I had not seen before- the price did reflect this though. Would definitely visit againVisitors
