About Purus @ The Ghyll Manor Hotel
In the quintessentially Sussex town of Horsham is the Ghyll Manor Hotel, home of Purus. An award winning restaurant offering traditional dining with a modern continental twist it is something of a heaven for foodies. Low beamed ceilings and open fireplaces in the dining room reflect the old fashioned flavour of the outside of the building where rolling gardens and a lake view can be enjoyed from the terrace. With a choice of Table de Hote, A La Carte or the highly recommended Degustation menu the chefs use seasonal ingredients to produce English dishes as quintessential as the surroundings.

they accomadated our change of booking. Starter and pudding were lovely, maincourse my veg ended up with horseradich sauce- given free drinks as an apologie. Will vist again

Have been to Purus on quite a few occasions but not on a Sunday. The only thing that I was dissappointed about was their was no homemade bread (cold roll on side plate, warm would have been better and served to keep the standards up to a certain level) or pre-starter which you normally get, which was a shame and also the broccoli & cailflower were both over cooked. I will still go back but would choose a weekday of Saturday evening when you get the beautiful extras which make this place special.

Purus @ The Ghyll Manor Hotel. We enjoyed a very pleasant evening catching up with friends for dinner. Table de Hote 30 pounds each for 3 courses. No "optional" sevice charge stuck on the bill but as we had excellentt service I was happy to add a tip myself. Well balanced wine list with lots of choice. An excellnet experience in fact .Visitors
