About Pied a Terre
When the occasion calls for a little Michelin luxury in London, Pied a Terre restaurant does a fabulous job. Because where Shane Osborn cooks, foodies flock. Although Pied a Terre restaurant was refurbished in 2005, the two windowless dining rooms on the ground floor remain underwhelming with their aubergine colour scheme and low lighting. What’s exciting is Osborn’s talent for imaginative, refined modern French cuisine. Dishes prompt exclamations such as "divine", and deliver the kind of flavours that are more quiet power than short, sharp hit. And they look wonderful. Even the pats of butter served with the gorgeous bread selection are monogrammed. At £49.50 for two courses, eating here isn’t cheap, but you’re paying for something really, really special.Pied-a-Terre was voted number one in the Reader's Choice poll for the S. Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants Awards.

I took my husband to Pied a Terre for his birthday treat and we really enjoyed it. The food was amazing, the service very attentive, if at times a little over-attentive. The ambience was good, but not quite as relaxed as some places we have been, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. A very special evening.Review
lovely food at pied a terre if a little pricey even for this type of restaurant. service is excellent and there is a sense of occasion. however we have had better meals at claridges and l'atelier, and the atmosphere at those places was more special. i'm glad we went but probably wouldn't return. the food wasn't special enough to warrant the price.Review
Pied a Terre Imaginative food but too rich for our contemporary taste with too many rich extras (amuse bouche/many things with coffee), possibly to justify the price. Service impeccable, but a bit cathedral like!!Visitors
