Perle De The is the kind of restaurant you want to happen upon – a small pocket of perfection away from the intrusive tourist crowds. Its décor is simple and homely – so don’t go expecting fuss and flash. It is a petite family run establishment where the food is simple, elegant and delicious and the service is gentle and unobtrusive. The food is beautifully presented. The range of dishes is very well balanced. The chef pops out to check all is well. All in all a perfect parisian discovery.

We were the only customers at Perle de The on this Saturday night. I felt a bit strange dining alone, but the restaurant is small enough so that it feels like you are dining in their home. The food was great, homely French cooking, but the portions were extremely small, and that's by French standards. The service was extremely down to earth and not knowing very much French was not a problem at all

Perle de Thé: A quaint, friendly, homely restaurant just off the main street. The menu is small but varied and all the dishes we had were very tasty indeed. Would probably struggle with a larger group as it is a very small outfit, but up to six people should be fine.

We went to Perle de The for my birthday, and it was fantastic. The food was excellent! The hosts were friendly and passionate about their food. Everything was explained to us in detail, from food to wine. This is not a pretentious "designer" restaurant; it is a cozy space, where you get good food and value for money with friendly service. If you are interested in more than just looks and also have a passion for good food, this is the place to visit. I would highly recommend it.

Perle de The is a Pearl ! Great value for money. Every meals are made with fresh food (so menu changes every week!) and service is very friendly. It's a very small restaurant, 1 minute only from Gare d'Austerlitz and Jardin des Plantes. Nice quiet area and nice food !

This restaurant is yet another pearl in the sea of great food that is Paris. It's clear the couple that run Perle de The are working very hard to provide great food in a small but attractive setting. My partner and i enjoyed all our courses, and the inexpensive wine was a delightful surprise. I found the lighting a bit bright, but i have no complaints about the food, the wine, or the service. Try Perle de The.

Perle de Thé is a little gem. Excellent service, as might be expected from such a small place. The set menu was an excellent (and well priced) calamari, and the main menu was equally good: wild boar paté being the highlight. I must mention how pleasant the waiter was, even wishing us good luck for the rugby (and England beat France so it worked)!

The Perle de The was well located to offer quality French food in the close vicinity of the Gare d'Austerlitz. Friendly owners served delicious, regional food and coped well with the time constraints of our group of 10. Highly recommend if in the area.

Its exterior is very inauspicious but very easy to find (opposite the Natural History Museum). We were warmly welcomed as toptable guests and the fabulous food, freshly prepared by owners, was almost completely at odds with the simplicity of decor. The owners had only opened for us as we had booked from UK-lucky for us that they live above the shop! My mother who has difficulty walking was personally escorted to/from the well-maintained toilet in the small courtyard adjoining the restaurant .
