The restaurant was very spacious and had a good atmosphere. The staff good if a little slow at times. I was disappointed that they added a service charge with no mention on the menu. It seemed sneaky. The food was excellent. Altogether Pennyblacks was good, but nothing special.

Penny Blacks in the Mailbox has a relaxed atmosphere, suitable for a Sunday afternoon after walking along the canal. Staff were very friendly and helpful and food was simple but gorgeous. Highly Recommended

Restaurant wasnt very busy and it was very cold due to high aircon, waitress seems to switch between coming over every five seconds (when we werent waiting for anything) then dissapearing for ages when we wanted to order stuff

We went to Penny Blacks for a lunchtime meal, unfortunately the heating was broken so it was very cold. The food was tasty but the service could have been a little faster for lunchtime.

Me and my freinds had alovely time at Pennyblacks,in the mailbox B'ham. The ambience was pleasant and the food was great. I was dining with two of my friends and they were happy with my choice of restaurant. Definitly me and my freinds would go again.
