About Patagonia
Take a wander along Cowbridge Road East out of Cardiff city centre, take a sharp left and you’ll find yourself in Patagonia. Sorry, at Patagonia. Not quite the harsh plateaus of deepest South America, this is a relaxed, family friendly restaurant with infinitely more warmth and slightly fewer penguins in residence. Operating as coffee shop through the day and restaurant at night, at Patagonia you’ll find yourself treated to some serious comfort food from trad British breakfasts to delicious lunches to a concise menu of beautifully prepared and considered dinner dishes with a rustic feel. Don’t miss out on glorious homemade desserts either.

The Patagonia in Cardiff has a well balanced menu and a small wine list, well chosen. Ther were 8 people in our group who chose a wide variety of dishes, some highly praised (lamb), others somewhat lacking in flavour (smoked eel ravioli). The presentation of all dishes was attractive. The (small) restaurant was full, and extremely noisy. The service was excellent, unobtrusive and friendly.Review
Patagonia was perfect. The restuarant was nicely laid out and decorated with both the music and the temperature being just right. The staff were exactly as you would hope for, prompt, pleasant and polite and the menu was innovative and adventurous. The food was also in line with the exceptional experience of dining at Patagonia with exciting combinations & amazing flavours and at £25 for 2 courses a very reasonable price for a perfect overall dining experience, it really was an absoulte pleasureReview
Another superb meal at Patagonia. Beautiful smoked eel and belly pork agnollotti followed by superb rump of Welsh lamb showed by this is a little gem of a restaurant.Visitors
