Papadoms was friendly yet pretty average. The food really wasn't that special at all. Service was friendly and laid back. It was unfortunate that the restaurant was mid re-furb, but that is by the buy if the food is good. However I think for the money you could probably do better else where

The food at Papadoms is excellent, and because we were in a big group of 11, having the table by the door wasn't a problem. The toilets really need to be improved as this would stop me recommending it to others.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Papadoms. The food was great, and the service, although not slick, was friendly. They hadn't put our tables together when we arrived; they'd run out of small beers by 6 on a Saturday, and they forgot one of our sides, but these were only tiny things, and they were sorted out so quickly, we were pleased and impressed rather than irritated. not somewhere to go when you want to impress, but a lovely place for a friendly, relaxing meal.

The food was really tasty and not massive portions which was nice. It was great sitting upstairs and the atmosphere was really good. The service was good but a little slow as the restaurant was so busy. The only thing that really lets the restaurant down is the toilets.

After two attempts, we finally got a decentish table at Papadoms but we still had a spotlight shining directly into my mother's eyes which ruined the dining experience somewhat- shame really as otherwise everything was fine - not spectacular but fine.

We booked to eat at Popadoms as a quick meal before going to watch the rugby. Whilst thier food is good it's certainly not the best offered on brick lane and the restaurant itself is long and narrow thus resembling a corridor. It is a shame that as result of this there was little atmosphere despite the restaurant being full. The top table offer is bettered on the restaurant's own website but because we had booked they would only give us the top table deal. I found this to be an unfair deal.
Eg. italian, Ritz, Benitos, meatballs...
