About Palate
Palate restaurant in has got it just right for London’s Portobello Road – it’s an international restaurant that’s also a gallery. Palate’s space, formerly Food @ the Mews, is a light, very nicely designed space – the chef finds it ‘beautiful’ – at our favourite end of Portobello Road just before the Westway. The ambience is casual with lots of local people who recognize the well-rehearsed team from the earlier incarnation. The modern European tapas from around the world is food to share, a menu to mix and match. Signature dishes include baby squid with white butter mushrooms, pork belly confit with braised apples, chocolate fondant with hot chocolate drink. We can’t resist the Palate’s deep-fried courgettes.
Please be aware that on certain Tuesdays events take place in the gallery. On these dates no food is served.
Opening hours:
Mon: ClosedTues - Sat: 8am - 1amSun: 8am - 6pm
Muse gallery has an artist-in-residence programme with studio space at the rear.

New management so not fully up and running at Palate in terms of decor. Excellent onion soup and shared pudding plate.wonderful toilets!Review
Palate @ muse is a quirky little restaurant that serves italian dishes in tapas style share plates. The food was really delicious if not a touch heavy on garlic. The service was also fantastic - really friendly and helpful. A great night out.Review
Palate on portobello road is a great newcomer to the area. Excellent value for money and the tapas style food was delicious. A fantastic restaurant for a relaxed meal.Visitors
