About Pagoda Palace

The first and largest Chinese restaurant of its kind in Britain, Pagoda Palace is an impressive traditional-style temple overlooking the tranquil Peatmoor Lagoon in West Swindon. The main restaurant and first floor restaurant/function room offer lovely views across the water to a focal miniature pagoda from large picture windows. The menu lists a feast of specialty Szechwan, Cantonese and Peking dishes, and is winning growing praise for its excellent dim sum, a light meal eaten traditionally by the Chinese at lunchtimes. Perhaps what says more about the food is the fact that the local Chinese community has made the Pagoda Palace the place to be, particularly on Sundays when there are many as 40 dim sum options. Yum yum!

Had a great celebration meal with family and friends at the Pagoda Palace in Swindon. The staff were highly attentive, the food tasty and the wine selection excellent and reasonable. We had two children in our party who were well catered for and made to feel very welcome in the restaurant. Altogether a great night was had by all - we'll definitely book again, even for a quieter meal with just the family as the food was really good.

We found the PAGODA PALACE very satisfactory. The ambience was excellent. If one used the weekday special menue, this would be excellent value for the money at £15.00.This restaurant is highly recommended for a delicious Chinese meal..

Visited Pagoda Palace on a Wednesday evening. Being mid week it was rather quiet and so lacking in ambience. However the restuarant itself was well decorated so on a weekend I imagine it would be quite lively. Service was attentive and prompt. We all had one of the set menus, the mixed hor d'ouves were good as was the aromatic duck. Felt let down by the main courses -with the exception of the prawns the dishes all tasted 'processed' something you could get from a jar.
