About Osteria dell Arancio
In Italy, an osteria is the most casual kind of laid-back, make-an-evening-of-it eaterie. Osteria dell' Arancio takes the concept, the chef, and the name, from the Marche region of Italy and lays on some big city seriousness. Not its decor, mind you. This is a bright, witty set of rooms, with white walls, funky Italian flea market furniture, and colourful artwork. And the service, is professional while having that relaxed/not-hurrying-you-out air about it; actually allowing you to enjoy the experience. The seriousness shows in the fine culinary work of chef Massimo Garofoli, who imports the authentic ingredients (including salumi) from the Marche then creates
unforgettable dishes with them. The artisanal Italian wines are open to view behind glass doors. There are tables al fresco and a communal table for sharing. Dishes are sweet or savoury, and include
chilled tomato soup with crab, chargrilled peppers and cucumber, risotto with king prawns and courgette flowers, Venetian style calves liver with onions, and chocolate trio with mousse, fondant, and sorbet with mint sauce.
Closed on Monday lunchtimes until further notice.
Opening hours:
Fri - Sun 12pm - 2.30pm, Mon - Sun 7pm - 11pm

I have discovered Osteria dell Arancio having just moved into the area and I LOVE it!! The service is friendly and attentive and they are particularly helpful when chosing wines (I am not very experienced with Italian wines). The food is fabulous and the whole experience is always a pleasure.Review
I very much enjoyed eating here last night - the food is very good, the ambience is great, and we drank outstanding wines. I will definitely go back.Review
We sat outside on the terrace of L'Osteria dell Arancio which was lovely, but noisy being on Kings Rd! The food and service were excellent. Very tasty ravioli and a delicious plate of mixed antipasti to begin. Only complaint would be that the wines were pricey, with no bottles under £25. Impressive wine list though. Total bill for 2 came to £90 which I thought was a little steep for 1 antipasti, 2 mains + 1 bottle of wine but I would defintely go back, if I'm not paying!Visitors
