About Orsi
Laurent Orsi, Le Bouchon Lyonnais restaurant in the heart of Toulouse will transport you to another era with authentic brasserie décor of the 1930’s and a menu that offers every traditional local dish– including a celebrated Toulousain cassoulet – with a special emphasis on fish and seafood. The comfortable banquettes, white table linens, etched mirrors and open terrace attract locals by the dozens who are greatly warmly by Laurent Orsi, a host of formidable gifts. The menu features warm saucisson Lyonnaise sausage, escargots de Bourgogne, foie gras, duck, and a host of seasonal fish dishes. The wine carte offers more than 250 French labels with ten by the glass. And the price for all this authenticity and local colour is more than reasonable, leaving you feeling well fed and cared-for.

Review
We arrived late but were welcomed and shown to our table directly. The food and the ambience were great and everyone but us appeared to be locals and regulars. Locating it was tricky because car parking is a major problem and the restaurant display sign is Le Boucher Lyonnais with Chez Orsi just visible on the fascia above the canopy and difficult to see in the dark.

Lunch at Orsi in Toulouse during a business trip. You would be unlikely to come across this restaurant by chance as it's somewhat tucked away but only 15 minutes walk back to the centre. Food was what I think of as typically French old-style. Heavy sauces, fish rather overcooked and no veg! The waiter also made a complete mess-up on my colleague's meal, bringing him a smoked salmon starter in place of the salmon main course he tried to order. Starters and desserts were very good though.Visitors
