Located in Sloane Square, this infamous brasserie has been a hit with Chelsea’s sunglasses-and-champagne set for over 20 years. The restaurant’s elegant dining room, see-and-be-seen terrace and air-conditioned downstairs dining room – designed by Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen - provide the perfect backdrop for a bit of post-shopping posing. Oriel is always heaving with trustafarian totty, celebs and Escada-wearing socialites, and the classic continental menu will please everyone from your gran to your gardener. We love the steak frites served with Bearnaise sauce and wilted spinach, the classic salade nicoise and the chicken liver terrine served with spiced fruit chutney and French bread. The bar offers an excellent selection of champagne cocktails.
