About One Twenty One Two
One Twenty One Two is bright, modern, full of colour and chatter and enjoyment. Located where the Old Scotland Yard once stood (One Twenty One Two was their telephone number), this delight of a restaurant is anything but clubby and claustrophobic. There is a lively bar, leading into the stylish dining room. The menu is Modern European, with starters like Duck 'three ways' - carpaccio, in spring rolls and seared duck foie gras with mango and basil relish. We also recommend the roast seabass with aubergine caviar and fennel chorizo. Good grills too.

Arranged my team lunch for 17 at One Twenty One Two restaurant in the Royal Horseguards Hotel - had never heard of this restaurant before but was very pleasantly surprised. Very lovely room, service with all those extras to make a Christmas lunch go well, hats, crackers etc. Food was ample though not very exciting - but who cares - with Christmas carols in the background a great time was had by all.

The meal was totally unsatisfactory because the food was unseasoned, cold tasteless and stale. The Pinot Gris wine which was both expensive and unsuitable to drink with food as it was sweet,so undrinkable, we resorted to the house red , a Zinfadel which gives a idea of the quality of wine list. This establishment obviously does not rely on repeat bookings, and I was embarassed to have booked this for a reunion with friends.Visitors
