About Olive Tree Greek Restaurant - Headingley
This newest branch of the Olive Tree is a testament to the popularity of this uncommonly good Greek restaurant. Featured in guides from the AA to Egon Ronay, the Olive Tree has been a major success story for its owners, the likeable George and Vassoulla Psarias who have made several TV and radio appearances. Kick off with smoky, satiny melitzanosalata – chargrilled aubergine blended with extra-virgin olive oil and tahni, perfect for dipping the freshly-baked pitta. For mains, don’t miss the classic kleftiko, the lamb slow-cooked to melting perfection with oregano and garlic. Featured on the BBC’s “Food and Drink”, the special Olive Tree dessert of sultanas, filfar orange liqueur and cinnamon in filo pastry is a must. The Olive Tree is thriving: this is the third branch it has sprouted in the Leeds area (the others are in Chapel Allerton and Rodley) and it looks like it’s blooming.

The Olive Tree (Headingley) served good-quality, traditional Greek food in a pleasant, bustling atmosphere. Although a couple of items were missed from the food order, the problem was rectified swiftly and the staff were very friendly throughout. A highly enjoyable evening.Review
