About Olives
Tucked inside a magnificently restored Millennium Bailey’s Hotel, Olives restaurant continues the theme of Victorian splendour married with modern simplicity. High ceilings and neutral tones give a light, airy feel, yet the fireplace keeps the whole thing cosy. Modern British cooking with an occasional European accent is on the menu, though steering away from petit portions. This is comfort food at its best, with large helpings to match. Lovers of the grape will find a user-friendly wine list, complete with taste descriptions and personal quotes. Service is professional, but relaxed and unhurried.
Opening hours:
Mon - Sun 5.30pm - 10.00pm

Olives was perfect for the occasion, both had a great meal, although our first choice for starter was unavailable. Not cheap but good value for money as portion were not that small, and food tasted great.Review
Olives is a charming well laid out restaruant. We went for an anniversary meal and enjoyed it greatly. The food was of a high quality. The seafood particularly was well done. The only criticism would be the service with a lot of the waiting staff milling around but not able to actually wait. Eventually we had the manageress who was excellent, and all orders were promptly delivered. Would reccomend as a a nice venue. WOuld go back but ask for the manageress in terms of service.Review
