I had the spaghetti with herb bread crumbs and it was excellent. I couldn't stop eating it. House wine was awful. Ambience was busy and friendly toilets were clean staff were attentive but not intrusive

The Olive Press, Preston is in the basement and The Chop House above, the Top Table booked me in the wrong restaurant, but despite being busy the staff found room for me. To start delicious olives. The Seafood risotto was creamy and generous. A slight problem with the green leaf salad was quickly rectified and then not charged. There was a selection of good Italian wines even by the glass. The speciality ice cream took me straight back to Italy; wonderful. Staff, pleasant and professional.

olive press 'chop house' - excellent ambience and friendly, efficient service. food was good but not outstanding for the price. nice, pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, very unpretentious, but i have eaten as well as this for considerably less at other venues. wine and drinks prices reasonable, excellent choice of wines.

The Olive Press in Preston is situated accross from a lovely leafy park. It was quiet at lunch time, however the food was great value for money.

At the last minute, due to transport problems we changed to the Olive Press. We could not fault anything about the welcome, food or service. We enjoyed the shared appetiser of tapenades etc and the main courses of scallops and the chicken breast with chorizo and endive were a new taste sensation!! The creamed polenta was exquisite!

Olive Press, Preston. I had booked this on recommendation for a Graduation Party for 17. They got the drinks order wrong, we waited ages for a jug of water and had to keep asking. When the food came it wasn't very warm and the steaks were cold and had to be returned. There wasn't much pasta and only 2 small pieces of chicken in the dish. Really dissapointed and appologised to my guests. Didn't like the fact they put a 10% charge on the bill when the services was poor. Not impressed.

The Olive Press Preston was an absolute delight. The staff were a pleasure to be around and the food was fantastic and great value for money. Located in Preston's financial district it is a prime location, and will definitely be returning.
