About Old China Hand
‘No ordinary pub’ reads the sign above the door. That’d be right. Old China Hand quirkily combines its Irish boozer past with its new Eastern personality in a combination of first-rate real ales and dim sum. Unusually served in fours for sharing, dumplings are masterfully made by Ngan Tung Cheung, a man well used to cooking for discerning diners having worked 14 years at the Dorchester’s Oriental restaurant. An eclectic wine list includes some excellent Asian wines, while the 50-odd beers and ciders come from all over the world. Smiley staff.

We have been trying a lot of dim sum restaurants lately with a view to book for a large party next month. The location of this restaurant is perfect for lunch. The dim sum is good but the menu is very limited and the fried noodles is not something I recommend. This is not a serious dim sim place which is a shame because the chef is good and should be given a chance to produce more variety of dim sim. Waste of talent of a good chef for a marketing theme.Review
