About Norman's Coach & Horses

Soho’s Coach and Horses is something of a London institution. Always packed with trendy city types, local media moguls, students, tourists and well…anyone who appreciates a good, no-nonsense venue (few and far between in this city) where a well poured drink and a lively atmosphere is accompanied by good, honest food. The venue of the infamous Private Eye lunch, the Coach and Horses’ dining room now bears the name of its most famous regulars. Here a dining room infinitely more cheerful than retired landlord Norman Balon, offers a vibe and a menu the likes of which are rarely seen in the enclaves of Soho. Expect great British fayre picked from local markets including Billingsgate and New Covent Garden and encompassing everything from a fish ‘n’ chips to a fishfinger sandwich.

Please note last orders for dinner at this restaurant are at 10pm everyday.

Norman's Coach & Horses turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It's described as a gastro pub but certainly doesn't fit that image - it's very rough and ready and I was a bit worried when I arrived as I'd booked for a group of friends and it wasn't what we were expecting. However, the staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful, and the food was great. The menu is basic British pub food, not a lot of choice, but everything we had was done well and enjoyable. I'd certainly go back.

There is a great atmosphere in the Coach and Horses. Good pub food and really freindly staff. It isn't the kind of place you would go for a quiet drink and on the night we went there was a sing-song around the piano. Fab!

We hired the private dining room at the coach and horses for a birthday party and had a great night. The room was really nice and easily held 30 diners. There were comfortable sofas and we were able to play our own music from an ipod. The staff were friendly and helpful and the service was great. The food was good. I would recommend this place and would hire the room again.
