About Ning
Manchester might be awash with slick dining outfits but none quite like Ning. Unlike many others, Ning values subtlety and sophistication both in its style and its cuisine. Influenced by the noodle bars of Asia’s cities, this Northern Quarter venue offers a bustling ambience somewhere between trendy canteen and chichi bistro. With polished wood tables, voguish floral patterned wallpaper and candlelit tables, the interior strikes a similar balance of fashionable buzz meets classy intimacy. The South East Asian fusion menu offers mainly Thai and Malay dishes made with fresh ingredients, free from MSG. Ning’s chefs pride themselves on producing a concise menu of carefully selected and well cooked dishes.
Please note, a £50 deposit and a 10% service charge is required for groups of 8 or more.

Review
Had an enjoyable eveing at Ning's restaurant. Loved the restaurant, the service was fantastic, the starters were lovely, especialy the murtabak malaysian pancakes. The mains were good, but nothing exceptional, we really missed the option of using chopsticks, and we usually share our meals when we go out for a Thai/Asian meal, but the meals came out served on the plates, which was unusual, and would have made sharing hard if there were more than 2 of us.

We selected Ning in the heart of manchester's northern quarter as we were dining with student friends and it appeared to be good value...it certainly was!!! We were further delighted by the excellent choice (one 'no-meat-no-fish'-er in the party), some unique dishes (take a look at the specials blackboard), and the superb quality and presentation. Nice friendly service; not the most intimate but great for chatting, and a welcome oasis of calm after a few aperitifs in the northern quarter bars!Visitors
