About Muddy Waters Restaurant
Muddy Waters in the heart of Chelmsford is a charming green and red river barge moored along the River Can – famous for being Chelmsford’s only floating restaurant. Kitted out elegantly like a Victorian steam yacht, Muddy Waters has marine blue upholstered banquettes and captains’ chairs, wooden decking and elegant white table linens. This is one restaurant that doesn’t need a nautical theme. The modern British and European menu is divided into Cast Away, Full Sail and Journey’s End, complemented by a comprehensive forty-bottle wine list, ranging from pocket-friendly to memorable. Unique location, fine food and wine, friendly service -- every meal at Muddy Waters is special. This restaurant has live Jazz on the first wednesday of each month

Muddy Waters was to e fair an excellent nght out but when w got there and realised there were only three peole in the place we thought we hd made a big mistake. However the food on avry limited menu was excellent although the sevice was bit strange and lethargic. The wine was good the lenght of time we spent at the table was also excellent a few more couples came in later and we thoroughly enjoyed the night.Review
Muddy Waters is a charming venue which serves up a delicious lunch. A barge floating on the River Cann, it is cosy and beautifully presented inside. The hostess Maureen was very helpful. Quite pricey for lunch but treat yourself it was worth every penny.Review
the food was delicious although the menu is quite small. the portions were plenty and through booking with top table we also had the deal 2 for 1 on our main meal at muddy waters which made it great value too. very enjoyableVisitors
