About Mirrors Restaurant & Bar

The name of this restaurant is no mystery: concave and convex curved mirrors are stationed at the entryway. Mirrors cuisine is inspired by European Eclectic Cuisine using the finest produce and holding true to the traditional values of cooking. With a wide varitey of a la carte dishes for lunch and dinner and a buffet to complement, Mirrors was recently rewarded with 1AA rosette. This is an informal but contemporary and stylish place, perfect for business meals or friendly gatherings. Specialities include: Scotch Premier Steak, Pomme Sable, Sauted Baby Spinach, Pumpkin & Cepes and Angus Scotch Steak, Wild Mushroom Tagliatelle with Braised Ox Cheek Boudin. Good wines and winning service.

Second time at Mirrors for lunch: I was disappointed to discover that the (limited) a la carte menu (with the 2/3 course special price) was identical to my last visit two months ago. With only 4 choices in each course to pick from, it was not impressive. Still, the food is good, not too overpriced, and the service is thorough. Mirrors is a good place to have a business meeting, but lacks atmosphere for anything more intimate.

Mirrors Restaurant had a good atmosphere and helpful staff. There was ample choice in the buffet, especially the desserts! It did feel part of a hotel however and didn't have a private atmosphere.

Our visit to Mirrors began disappointingly, with the expected glittering tunnel in the entrance hall being no more than a couple of fairground mirrors. I had the salmon and foie gras on a bed of puy lentils and was astonished by how richly flavoured and excitingly textured the lentils were. They were the high point however, and whilst the salmon was cooked well, it was slightly over-salted. My dining companion was content but not enthralled with his leg of duck and mashed potatoes.
